Posted: 12/22/2024We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires a passion for food, creativity in meal preparation, and adherence to food safety standards. The Cook will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through delicious and visually appealing dishes.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Assist in the planning of menus, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including cooking stations, utensils, and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling practices.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal preparation processes.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, ensuring safe handling practices.
- Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$24.72 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
