Posted: 12/22/2024We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for daily meal service, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Participate in regular cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques within the food industry.

Contract length: 6 monthsPay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
