    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

    Duties

    • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for daily meal service, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
    • Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
    • Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed in compliance with health regulations.
    • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
    • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
    • Participate in regular cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
    • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
    • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques within the food industry.

    Contract length: 6 months

    Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
