Nostalgia Wines Inc - Wine Experience Associate
Posted: 03/03/2025We’re Hiring! We are seeking to add a few amazing personalities to our wine experience team to make our 2025 hospitality season better than ever!
Who We Are: Nostalgia Wines is a boutique, small lot winery with a 14-acre vineyard on the Black Sage Bench, just South of Oliver. We are unique in our nostalgic style with every visit being a trip down memory lane. We craft fruit-forward, luscious whites and big, bold reds, in addition to sparkling and port-style wines and host many events, small and large throughout the season. At Nostalgia we warmly welcome our guests, sharing our wine, stories and knowledge to create a memorable wine experience.
Who You Are: You are team oriented and fun, energetic, kind person who is passionate about wine and hospitality. You have a growth mindset and willingness to learn. You are not discouraged by a fast-paced environment that is social and interactive but invigorated by it.

Here are some further details about being a Wine Experience Associate at Nostalgia Wines:
Job Duties: - Welcoming guests and creating a memorable experience
- Acquiring knowledge of winery and its wines
- Pouring wine for tasting, while observing Serving It Right standards
- Encouraging guests to become Recollection Club members
- Processing transactions, packaging wine & merchandise (operating cash register)
- Responsible for cash reconciliation at the start (if opening) and end of each day (if closing)
- Assisting with merchandising and stocking of retail items and wines
- Maintaining cleanliness of glassware, indoor and outdoor facilities
- Assisting with special events and representing the winery at outside functions as needed
- Acting as a local ambassador by providing tourist information
- Other tasks, as may be required
- Report to Sales & Marketing Manager and/or Owner/Winemaker
Qualifications:
- 19+ with Serve it Right Certification
- Ability to lift 40lb
- Wine-related experience and knowledge, or strong willingness to learn
- Ability to work 8 hours on feet and perform multiple physical tasks
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings
- High standards of customer service
- Computer-familiar (especially with Point-Of-Sale systems)
- Excellent oral communication skills and ability to manage priorities and multitask
- Positive attitude towards teammates, guests, and difficult/busy situations
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Wine education helpful, but not required (e.g. WSET)
